Well, 2019 has come to an end and so has my first Make Nine experience. I am a planner, so I loved the structure and organization this added to my choices about the projects I took on this past year. And, while I didn’t necessarily make the exact nine things I had originally set out to do, I did manage to make nine! Seeing them all put together in one image makes me feel pretty damn accomplished.
From the top left, they are:
- Emerald Fingerless Mittens by Lucy Sweetland
- White Pepper by Alicia Plummer
- Skiff by Jared Flood
- Spiny Socks by Fatimah Hinds
- Clarke Pullover by Jane Richmond
- Deep Woods Toque by Kyomi Burgin
- The Shift by Andrea Mowry
- So Faded Pint Size by Andrea Mowry
- My Favorite Vanilla Socks by Meaghan Schmaltz
So, that brings us to Make Nine 2020, and I’ve got mine ready to go!
- Pine Bough Cowl by Dianna Walla
- Element Socks by Ingoraknit
- Telja by Jennifer Steingass
- Clarke Pullover by Jane Richmond
- Montana Mountain Cowl by Andrea Mowry
- Anker’s Dress by PetiteKnit
- Nor’easter by Thea Coleman
- Hinterland Dress by Sew Liberated
- Basic Raglan Pullover by Joji Locatelli
Some of these are gifts, some are for me, I’ve got one sewing project I’m going to tackle, and yes, that’s another Clarke Pullover. My aunt liked mine so much that she wanted one too, and I’m pretty sure that putting it on my Make Nine list is the only way I’ll get it done.
The Telja sweater was on my original list last year, but got pushed aside when I took on a few other gift projects. It’s the first project on my list this year, and I’ve already started! I've got two whole sleeves done, so good progress so far.

Anyone else out have their nine picked out yet?
